Human Capital
At Bina
Puri, employees are our most valuable asset. Thus, we look after their welfare
through our dedicated programmes and activities for their loyalty and effort
towards the success of Bina Puri.
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic,
Bina Puri has actively been giving back to the community in areas it operates
in. Its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts have constantly been
contributing towards deserving parties especially within the areas of
education, health, and welfare. However, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, the
Group has had to steer its efforts internally in order to safeguard its own
employees and look out for their wellbeing first and foremost.
To address and combat the growing
number of Covid-19 positive cases, the Group enacted the Bina Puri Covid-19
Prevention Program and Response Plan. Since the Covid-19 pandemic attack and
first Movement Control Order (MCO) in March 2020, the company has established
various efforts to hinder the spread of the virus and protect its employees’
health and welfare.
Among these programs include the
Staff Vaccination Program, whereby from mid-June 2021, Bina Puri has worked
tirelessly to ensure that all its employees were registered with the National
Covid-19 Immunisation Program in order to receive special vaccination slots at
the PPV centre in KLCC and CIDB Malaysia.
The Group also started its Positive
Covid-19 Response Plan by creating a committee made up of internal staff
members who came up with company-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as
well as a response plan after several positive cases of Covid occurred at the
main office. Since the committee was introduced, the Group has managed to
contain the virus from spreading within the premises.
Encouraging Academic
Excellence And Knowledge
At Bina Puri, we highly encourage academic
excellence and support knowledge-based activities by society. During the
pandemic period started since March 2020, the Group continued on the tradition to
provide assistance to bright students who are the children of its staff who
excelled in their studies by granting them with education incentives including the Undergraduate Scholarship
Awards, which is designed to recognise academic excellence among staff’s
children at local and foreign universities. In the meantime, we also
gave cash incentives to staff’s children who excelled in their SPM, PT3 and
UPSR examinations.
For staff who excelled and successfully completed their studies in Diploma,
Bachelor, Master or PhD were also rewarded under the Bina Puri Education
Incentives. Other programmes designed to appreciate our staff include the Best
Employee Awards, birthday celebrations, festive celebrations and others.
We
also continue to provide financial aids for student development in several
schools in Kuala Lumpur/Selangor such as SJCK Chin Woo, SJKC Tsun Jin and SM
Confucian, as well as the annual contribution to the Perdana Leadership
Foundation.
In
promoting healthy lifestyle and strengthening staff bonding, many activities
were successfully executed by our dynamic and energetic Kelab Sukan &
Sosial Bina Puri (KSSBP). Prior to the MCO, KSSBP has been actively organizing
activities such as yoga, futsal, badminton and ping pong tournaments, fishing
competition, paintball, Mount Kinabalu climbing and many others. Trips and
outings are a must have activities, both to local and overseas destinations.
Community and humanitarian aids
Bina Puri
Group continues to support and contribute towards the wellbeing of the
community mainly
through supporting the frontliners amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. This include contributing meals for
the frontliners on duty at the PPV Center in KLCC as well as mineral water to
the frontliners at Klinik Kesihatan Ijok, Klinik Kesihatan Bestari
Jaya, Klinik Kesihatan Kuala Selangor and Police IPD Kuala Selangor.
Environmental
Projects in the Community
For the
construction industry, we have taken the responsibility to ensure that all our
staff as well as the subcontractors abide by the Environmental Policies
ensuring all waste at the work site are properly collected and stored; for
instance the used oil drums are relocated into the oil storage area while the
contaminated soil are cleaned up according to the Environmental Quality
(Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005.
Our
project team has always put their effort to ensure our project sites are in
good housekeeping condition and clean. For instance, maintaining the
cleanliness of public drainage. This exercise is performed on a weekly basis
mainly to prevent a clogged drainage system that can cause flash floods and infectious
diseases. Thus, Bina Puri has always committed to continue its effort in
helping to protect the environment.
